If the numbers on the caliper become blurred or the small screw becomes impossible to find, conventional safety glasses are not enough.

Wait a minute, we have the solution: safety glasses with prescription lenses combine clear vision and reliable protection. They are individually adjusted to the wearer's visual acuity and are resistant to external influences. Whether metal chips, sparks or wood splinters - with customized safety glasses, your vision remains crystal clear and your eyes are protected.

✔ Perfect vision without double glasses

✔ More comfort through individual adjustment

✔ Reduced fogging and slipping

✔ Compliance with the safety standard DIN EN 166

DIN EN 166 - The standard for safety

In order for safety glasses to fulfil their purpose, they must comply with DIN EN 166. This European standard defines the requirements for protective effect, optical quality and durability of safety glasses. Models that comply with this standard offer reliable protection against mechanical, optical and chemical hazards.

Our prescription safety glasses are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the PPE directive DIN EN 166.

Nevertheless, many employees resort to old or discarded private glasses as supposed eye protection. But conventional prescription glasses are not designed for the dangers in the workplace. Even during everyday activities, metal chips, wood splinters or liquids can get into the eyes and cause serious injuries - even blindness. The employer is therefore obliged to provide suitable eye protection.

The professional association expressly recommends the use of safety glasses with prescription lenses, as these combine both protection and a corrective effect (BGR 192 Section 3.2.2.2, Corrective safety glasses).

Various versions

Safety glasses with prescription lenses are available in different versions - depending on the work environment and the individual needs of the wearer.

Models:

  • Full-face goggles: all-round protection, for example for laboratory work or chemical applications.

  • Half-frame models : Suitable for prolonged wear, for example in industry.

  • Computer glasses : Specially designed for ergonomic work at the computer.

glasses:

  • Single vision lenses: Correct a visual impairment, e.g. nearsightedness or farsightedness.

  • Bifocal lenses: Provide multiple viewing zones for different distances.

  • Progressive lenses: Enable seamless vision from near to far.

  • Photochromic lenses: Adapt to changing lighting conditions.

  • Anti-scratch and anti-fog: Protect against scratches and prevent fogging.

This is how corrective safety glasses are made

The manufacturing process of your prescription safety glasses consists of six steps.

  1. Eye test: Everything starts with an eye test. This is where the wearer's vision values are determined (e.g. lens values, pupil distance, grinding height). The safety requirements of the workplace are also discussed.

  1. Frame selection: We select the right frame that meets the protective requirements of the workplace and is comfortable at the same time.

  2. Lens selection: Depending on the work environment and the needs of the wearer, we select the ideal lenses.

  1. Coatings: For additional robustness, the glasses can be provided with special coatings such as anti-scratch, anti-fog or UV protection.

  1. Quality control: The finished safety goggles undergo a final inspection to ensure compliance with the safety standard DIN EN 166.

  1. Fine adjustment: The safety glasses are individually adjusted to the wearer so that they fit perfectly and offer optimal protection. Now you have a clear view!
